Guts team riders did themselves proud last weekend at the Billabong Welsh National Champs held at Freshwater bay.
In challenging conditions that ranged from small and glassy to pretty substantial storm surf, Beth Mason, Josh Hammett, Adam Reimnitz and Guts Griffiths all posted great individual results.
Young Josh won his first (and I'm sure it won't be his last!) Welsh title in the Under 12 division and also made the finals of the Under 14 too Beth Mason also styled her way to her first Welsh title by taking out the Under 18 girls title. And with three years left to go in this division She will no doubt be adding to this in the future
Adam Reimnitz surfed super consistently all weekend and was rewarded for his efforts with a third place in both the under 14 and under 16 finals.
I, however narrowly missed the Longboard title being edged into second by an in form and charging Dan Harris with Elliot Dudley coming in a close third.
Congratulations to everyone that entered and especially to all the juniors who had to push themselves in difficult conditions. - You did yourselves proud! |
