20 year old Grace Davies stormed the final round of the BLU British Longboard series to be crowned British Champion. The O'neill and Guts Surfboards sponsored rider convincinly won the final event of the series in small ,clean conditions at Gwithian beach at the weekend.
Grace was riding her new "Guts" performance noserider that saw her dominate right through the day as she has done throughout the summer series giving her an unasailable lead . With your best 4 out of 6 events counting for the overall title Grace was sitting on 3 wins and 1 second place and a points score no one could better.
Grace said after her victory" To be crowned British Champion is like a dream come true but I would like to thanks my family and sponsors for all their suport over the past few years which has helped me realise my goals.
Grace now travels back to Edinburgh University to carry on her studies, but hopes to put some serious cold water training in the big waves up on the north coast of Scotland. |
