WHAT’S YOUR IDEA OF PERFECTION?
18ft, 15seconds W/NW swell and my beautiful girlfriend (that'll keep me in the good books!). |
FAVOURITE COUNTRY?
Scotland |
FANTASY?
A spray on wetsuit - no more icy cold wet wetsuits to put on. |
HOW DO YOU RELAX?
I never relax. Haha. I always need to be doing something, planning something. Planning something generally involves looking at the charts, because 'something' is always surfing. I do quite often sit down and watch a surf movie though, but when I'm doing that its normally because it is flat and then I get pissed off - so it doesn't really relax me. |
BAND?
Too many to mention really. The best live band I've seen has to be Rage Against the Machine. |
FAVOURITE BOOK?
I think I have only ever read one - I'm not much of a reader. haha. Excluding the ones I have had to read at school/uni the only book I have ever read was Scar Tissue about Anthony Keidis from the Chili Peppers, oh thats a lie - I read a bit of Tony Hawks book when I was younger but never finished it. I really enjoyed Scar Tissue and now that I work offshore I may start to read more books to pass the time when I'm away from home. Next on the list are books by Scottish author Irvine Welsh. Oh, surf guide books are probably my favourite, Aye, stormrider is always nice for a browse, look at the pics. |
WHO DO YOU MOST ADMIRE (ALIVE OR DEAD)?
Robert Burns and Alex Salmond, oh and Kelly Slater. |
WHAT TRAIT DO YOU MOST DISLIKE IN YOURSELF?
My forehand reos - thats not really a trait though is it? Maybe I am too bossy, I like things done my way. |
WHAT TRAIT DO YOU MOST DISLIKE IN OTHERS?
When they dont do things my way. |
WHAT DO YOU MOST DISLIKE ABOUT YOUR APPEARANCE?
My chicken legs. |
HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE REMEMBERED?
Someone who has done a great deal for Scottish Surfing. I am on the committee for the Scottish Surfing Federation and I would like to help implement some of the infrastructure found in other surfing countries so that the next generation can benefit and maybe some future Scottish groms can turn pro and represent Scotland on a world stage. Or maybe just the guy who pulled into that massive keg that time. |
WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT LIFE SO FAR HAS TAUGHT YOU?
Thats a thinker... |
